Michael Thonet, rare set of 4 Café Daum chairs for Thonet, 1849Very rare set of four Caf Daum chairs (model no 4) designed by Michael Thonet. This was his first ever independent commission for the Caf Daum in Vienna back in 1849 and are one of the earliest models in the entire massive Thonet catalog. Very rare with a set of four chairs since they are almost always sold separately when they come on the market. This set originally had rattan seats but have been newly upholstered with blonde vintage patinated
