The fork stabilizer spring works surprisingly well at keep the basket from pulling the bike over on the kickstand or dumping the steering inward when loaded with a couple of Tecate 18 packs. The ideal bike to put a kids seat on the back and still get the shopping done, though I would upgrade to a Pletscher double kickstand. Largish
