Outdoor Immersion 24x8 inch oil on paper, matted to 11x14 OUTDOOR IMMERSION SERIES. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Estes Park, Colorado for a family reunion. Many of my cousins were asking if I would be making some work from the inspiring surroundings there. I knew I would not come home and paint mountains per se, but I wanted to create a series that would convey the feeling of being surrounded by beauty, bright skies, fresh air, color, wind and the happiness

How the "Imagined Expanse" series came to be

I did not have a lot of time in the studio

oil on sintra panel

but rather the feeling of being outdoors on a warm sunny day

the file is 'locked in' digitally to provide consistency

I sign and number each one by hand within the image to more closely simulate the feel of an original painting
